I worked in a local childcare facility part-time for about 3 years. I was a teachers aide in the infant room. I have also worked at a before/after school program (2014-2015 school year) at a local elementary school as an assistant supervisor. I cared for two children in their home, but sadly this came to an end last August because they both started preschool. I have been with this family since July of 2012. We play, read and always have lots of fun. We also go outside and take walks if the weather cooperates. I prepare simple lunches for them and get the little girl down for a nap. I clean up any messes we make and also help out with the family's laundry. In addition, I occasionally take care of their two dogs when they go out of town. Hi, my name is Alexandria, I am a 20 year old female who has always had a passion for working with children. I have been an Aunt since I was 7 years old, so I've always been around children and helped my mom with babysitting all the children. I did volunteer for vacation bible school for one week two summers in a row, the first year I helped with the preschool age group, and the second year I helped with the older age group. I also volunteered for multiple different preschools and day cares for the preschool age group. One of the preschools that I volunteered at every child was somewhere on the autism spectrum, most of them where non verbal, but some of the children could talk. I experienced with all age groups. I work really good with children, and they get attached to me really quickly. I can cook, do laundry, dishes, and more. The only thing is that I might not be able to get my licence, due to a few health issues that I am trying to get figured out and do what I have to do.
