Hello! My name is Almira. I am 22 years old and I’m an upcoming thesis architecture student at Virginia Tech. When I was in high school I worked at Goldfish Swim school for 2 years as a swim instructor for kids of all ages. I also worked at Dots and Doodles for a little over 2 years. I enjoy anything that involves being creative whether that be crafts, painting, or everything in between! I will be in the Pittsburgh/Wexford area from May-August. My availability will weekends due to my internship and possibly weekday evenings.

I come from a big family growing up with 7 other siblings in the household. I'm the oldest daughter of 5 other siblings. Being the oldest daughter came with a lot of responsibilities. Growing up throughout the years I spent those periods being the surrogate parent to my younger siblings, always being on call for my mother 24/7/365. Watching over kids started when I would do little babysitting jobs for my mothers friends, while they worked or went out, and that's when I knew I was good with kids, and loved being around them. I am First Aid and CPR certified, I also took 2 Childhood Development classes in 10th and 11th grade. Life with children can be unpredictable and I know I'm able to adapt to the situations they face. Being a nanny is not just a job for me but a career. I love children and enjoy watching them learn new things that I've taught them such as colors, shapes, numbers, identity of animals, sign language and all sorts of things that help with their developmental growth. I enjoy being a kid with the kids, but I'm also very mature, responsible, nurturing and I have a positive attitude. I know how to encourage a child (children) I make them laugh because laughter is the best medicine. I help them to find what their talents are. Reading is important and I like to read in Character voices which makes reading more interesting for kids. Children are a gift to their parents for them while the parents are away from the home. Hello, my name is Heather and I am seeking to assist a family/families with overnight care for their child/children. Within the past year, I have assisted families in which a parent/parents work overnight shifts (nurses, nurse practitioner, police officer). In the fall of 2021, I assisted a family with overnight infant care for their 6-week-old so the parents could get much needed sleep. My degree is in education and have worked with/cared for children of all ages for over 15 years. Currently, I am a nanny to a 3, 7, & 8-year-old in Bridgeville, PA and volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster children.
