I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy connecting with kids, helping them learn, and creating a fun, safe space where they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m studying elementary education and graduating a year early, with a focus on special education. I worked in a local childcare facility part-time for about 3 years. I was a teachers aide in the infant room. I attended continuing education classes in early childhood development and earned some certificates. I am trained in first aid and CPR. I have also worked at a before/after school program (2014-2015 school year) at a local elementary school as an assistant supervisor. I cared for two children in their home, but sadly this came to an end last August because they both started preschool. I have been with this family since July of 2012. We play, read and always have lots of fun. We also go outside and take walks if the weather cooperates. I prepare simple lunches for them and get the little girl down for a nap. I clean up any messes we make and also help out with the family's laundry. In addition, I occasionally take care of their two dogs when they go out of town.
