I grew up in a large family of eight children and I currently have four nephews and one niece, so I have been surrounded by children my entire life. My mother is a retired Kindergarten Teacher, my eldest sister is an English Professor, and all of my other sisters are teachers or nurses as well, so nurturing and caring for others has always been a focus in my family. I worked as a babysitter as a teen and from there branched into working in childcare, where I have worked for over fifteen years. I worked at Daniel Island Elementary for seven years, as well as nannied for several families on the island, staying on with my last family for over 5 years. I have now been a preschool teacher for the past three years. I have always found myself drawn to the same field, because of both my natural skills and my passion for working with kids.
