Hello! My name is Alixandra Swan. I have over a year of professional experience as a nanny and private tutor. I worked with two young boys, ages 5 and 8, one of whom was diagnosed with autism, while the other had "behavioral issues". I worked full-time as a nanny and homeschool teacher and was only let go because they decided the children needed more social interaction and sent them back to in-person learning. They referred me to the second family. This wonderful situation was homeschooling a kindergartener and a first-grader, both girls. I did a Montessori-based program with them, and we went on many field trips. I drove them to and from sports, appointments, etc. Eventually, summer came and they left for Montana for the two-month break and started attending a private catholic school upon return. I deeply cherished my time with each of these children and am passionate about positively impacting children's lives. I attended GCU for elementary education and special education, but have decided to change course and am currently attending classes online to eventually do echocardiography with a pediatric emphasis. I would also like to note some personal experience. I am the oldest girl out of 5 siblings (large age gaps) and grew up helping my mom with the babies for many years. I watched my youngest sister, who is now 7, full-time from the ages of 6 months to 2 years old.
