To teach in a manner that is kind but will also be remembered and then always enforce and be consistent with those teachings. For newborns and infants I focus connection and including them in daily life. To help them touch water from the sink, to feel the puppies fur, to hold grass and smell flowers. To go places and see new things. To introduce them to children, go to reading class learn to sit still for 5 minutes at a time. To know that they have someone that cares about their needs and emotions. For the parents and the childcare provider its important to have open communication and relay information as needed. If necessary to create schedules so the parents know what’s going on and where or if plans change, send a quick text. “Hey, Sarah’s being a extra cranky we are leaving the reading class and going home to check her temperature and see what’s going on. I’ll send you an update soon”. I love working with families to create a worry free, happy, and healthy lifestyle for their children.

I believe the brightness and color in the world is from the light of kids. They bring joy and life-changing lessons. Personally, my biggest rule is that kids deserve respect, too. They are the future of this world, so I take much pride in making sure they get great care. I've been babysitting since I was 14, I also volunteered at a church for years, teaching Bible studies on sundays and I helped coach gymnastic special Olympics team and traveled with them to compete. In the 2023 I was a paid full time caregiver for a newborn- toddler for a little over a year, from wake up to 5-6pm and getting ready to wind down for dinner. During my time at school, I took childhood development classes and was certified for CPR.
