Their research is still going and updates are applied as they learn more about the development of young children. Childcare also teaches you all about keeping children safe. Background checks, safety drills, food safety, playground safety, (teaching them about strangers, knowing a parents phone number and their address, if old enough). So I’ve got that covered for a family’s peace of mind. As a single mother of two boys—ages 19 and 23–and corporate professional their entire childhood, I know the demands placed on mothers and fathers alike who are balancing their family’s needs with work commitments. Recently, I patted myself on the back for raising men as I watched my son Jake relocate to Florida with his sales company and my son Luke graduate from the US Marine Corps — Oorah! With that, the focus has shifted back to me for the first time since 2002! I’ve relocated as well — to Greenville! And I love it! Next month, I will officially retire from the corporate world.
