I love children of all ages. I relate to them and can keep them entertained. I also work with them on homework and activities. I have spent most of my life caring for my own child, but through my activities as a 4-H leader and Cub Scout den leader, I've helped raise many more children. Since I homeschooled my son from 4th grade on, I have had a bit more experience than most parents with the educational aspects of raising a child.

I have 25 Plus years as a Childcare Professional. I have a counseling and teaching background. I have experience with the care of multiple babies and children. While raising my now adult child, I ran a registered in-home daycare for 20 years. For the past three years I have been a nanny. I have experience with all age children. I also have experience with special needs baby through young adult ages. I have been a a math tutor (middle school), assistant teacher in a special needs grammar school and a substitute teacher, I have been a counselor in a diagnostic and evaluation facility for placed and runaway teens and a counselor at a teen girls group home. I have a stepfamily coach certificate. I love working with kids and families.

My passion in life was raising my three children and teaching Special Education. Now that my children are all young adults and I am recently retired from teaching, I am looking forward to the next chapter of my life. I relocated from Los Angeles to Myrtle beach in May, and would like a part time job to keep me busy and active.

I am currently CPR and First Aid certified, along as WSI ( Water Safety Instructor) certified. I have been working as a swim instructor for the past 4 years. Greetings! I have been working with children, in a variety of capacities, for (20) plus years, all age groups. This established my passion and dedication to the education field. I've been a preschool and pre-k teacher for the past 9 years; working in highly recognized schools. My interests are playing sports, outdoor activities, board games and doing arts and crafts (getting messy is fun, they help develop fine motor skills and it allows the kids to use their imagination). I love rolling on the ground with the children and really getting on their level to play and engage in activities. :) Making a difference in children's lives is my lifelong goal and is very important to me. I enjoy sharing my education skills, assisting with homework and try to encourage and motivate reading skills.

I am a natural born care taker. Started 40 years ago at age 12 and have been loving and caring for kids ever since. These are YOUR kids so I do follow the house rules. I am rarely absent or late. I like for kids to be on a regular eat, play, sleep schedule. Typical day for a preschooler is breakfast, indoor play, outdoor play. Lunch then nap time. Snack after nap and then more playtime. I have care for 5 kids under six multiple times with pets!

Having raised five of my own kids I am experienced at all the phases, joys and challenges of babies-high schoolers. I have specialized in newborn care. I help parents establish good feeding/eating/playing/sleeping habits. I spend my days down on floor in intense tummy time, play, music and art. Babies and preschoolers get long walks in strollers. Pretty much if it’s a job a parent does I do it under your direction when you’re not home. My attendance track record is near perfect as is being on time. I am flexible. Children under my care will feel loved and secure which leads to them reaching their full potential.
