Hi! My name is Layla and I have always loved working with children. For the past three summers, I’ve worked as a camp counselor for both overnight and day camps, and I’ve been babysitting since I was 11. Growing up, I absolutely loved hanging out with my babysitters and camp counselors, and those memories are still some of my favorites. I love doing just about any activity with children, structured or not, such as games, crafts, or sports. With early childcare coursework, First Aid and CPR certifications, and four years of hands-on childcare experience, I’m comfortable caring for up to four children, from infants to preteens. I also have experience working with neurodivergent children in both school and summer camp settings, and I understand that they are individuals who may require unique approaches, patience, and support to help them thrive. I have done childcare for over 30 years. I have been married to my husband for 23yrs. We are parents of two girls and just finalized the adoption of our girls in February 2022! I have volunteered in the church nursery,been a preschool teacher, a part time nanny,and a babysitter to many families. My experience with children is a variety of ages. I have watched a newborn (2days after being home) all the way up to teenagers.
