I earned an A.A.S degree in Early Childhood Education in the Spring of 2026. I have over 7 years of professional childcare experience and have cared for children ranging from infants to school-age. My experience began during my senior year of high school when I started my first childcare job at Goose and Gander’s Daycare. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different childcare settings and gain experience with a wide variety of ages and needs. I currently work at the YMCA in Bellevue, TN where I provide care for children from approximately 6 weeks through 12 years old. I previously worked at the YMCA’s Green Hills location for about a year before the pandemic. Ive also used with Montessori and Reggio teaching philosophies, both in schools and in swim lessons, as well as in babysitting. I am able to help with homework and homeschooling as well. I live in Ashland City. I worked as a special education teacher for ten years, but left to stay at home with my 2 year old daughter. Times being what they are I am looking to supplement some income and have playmates for my girl. My daughter enjoys going places and being around a variety of ages. She also loves cats and dogs. I am willing to watch out of my home or commute to someone’s home as needed. I have a van so transporting is not a problem.
