As a little girl my favorite game to play was always to pretend I was a teacher and line my stuffed animals up as if they were my students. It’s no surprise that as an adult I pursued to get my degree in Early Childhood Education. I’ve always been described as having an energetic and playful personality which helps me immensely when I am around kids. Due to me pursuing a profession in childcare I make sure to stay on top of child development research as well as child safety recoils/protocols for any toys or child related equipment. Hi there! My name is Marilyn. I have 3 children of my own (13y, 9y, & 10m) so I do have plenty of experience with kiddos at different ages and I’m still gaining experience and learning more from them everyday! I’ve worked at a daycare/preschool for a lil over a year when my husband was stationed in South Dakota. That’s where it all began for me where I found my calling and appreciation working with and caring for children. I then babysat 3 kiddos (siblings) for a couple of months out of my home before we finally moved back to El Paso. More recently before having my baby, I was working for SISD as an elementary/P.E. teacher aide for a lil over 4 years. So, I am cpr and first aid trained and have taken MANY other kinds of safety trainings. I have had a few fingerprints/background checks due to employment requirements and of course everything comes back all good and clean. I can probably provide a few references if needed. I carry a current food handlers card. I cook, clean, organize, drive and pet friendly. I’d like to say I’m really experienced with babies-toddlers the most and then secondary would preschoolers-school aged children. Now, I’m looking to get back into providing child care while enjoying my current status of being a “stay at home “ in which gives me a pretty flexible schedule for any care needs! I do exclusively pump and breast feed in which is a big reason why I provide care out of my home as I need access to all my pumping supplies and my refrigerator for the storing and freezing part. I’m currently helping 4 other mamas feed their babies with my breastmilk so I have also established a pick up routine with each family on a somewhat regular weekly basis from my home. I don’t drink and I do live in a smoke and drug free home. We are all up to date on vaccines. I recently finished some of my schooling and gained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I do eventually plan to continue onto earning a master’s degree in early education. I’m open to you viewing my home and meeting my family prior to start. I can provide hourly, daily updates with pictures, videos, calls, FaceTime, etc all just based on your preferences and requests.
