I am 25 years old, I graduated from UHCL with my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with two associate degrees from ACC. I am currently a second grade teacher in Alvin ISD. I was previously working at a Pediatric Behavioral Therapy Clinic as a behavioral technician from ages 2 years - 7 years old. I have about 2 1/2 years of babysitting/nannying experience. My responsibilities previously included changing diapers, potty training, putting down for naps (for the younger age) then for elementary/higher aged I conducted in transporting the children from school/sport practice, making sure the children were doing their homework while providing assistance if needed, and making sure the children were bathed and in bed at appropriate hours. I enjoyed doing other activities with children such as taking the kids swimming, to the park, or other activities such as museums, arcade games, or trampoline parks.

I'm currently in school to get my degree in Elementary Education with a focus on ESL. I've been babysitting since I was 13 and started teaching all-age gymnastics at 15. I worked in a daycare for the past two years and have overnight nannied in the past. I love all things arts and crafts, nature, and new adventures. I'm skilled in early childhood development with extensive experience with babies under 2. I can meal prep, drive, potty-train, sleep train, and have my First Aid and CPR certifications. Kids usually love me because I’m a responsible version of them, so you can bet we’ll be having a lot of “wear your helmet” and “no don’t touch that” fun. They’ve taught me things adults have trouble learning from each other, like listening and communicating. Their minds absorb things faster and they usually communicate their feelings well if you pay attention. They mimic everything they learn even if they aren’t aware of it so it’s wonderful watching them grow while teaching them right from wrong and really seeing the positive impact you’re making. Sort of like a big sister. I love relaxing and watching cartoons just as much as they do, but I love the feeling of teaching them something new, so I like to separate tv, school, and play time rather than just sitting them in front of a screen. I definitely use snacks and bike rides as motivation to learn/do chores when needed. My timeouts are called “silent seconds”, because we think about our actions in this house!
