Hi there! I’m Mariah, and I’m a freshman at Utah State University studying Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I’ve been babysitting for about 7 years and I’ve always loved working with kids. Throughout middle and high school, I babysat for families in my community whenever they needed an extra hand, which helped me build a lot of experience and confidence caring for children of all ages. In high school, I also worked at Logan High’s Little Grizz Preschool, where I planned fun, engaging lessons and played alongside the kids. During my senior year, I interned in a kindergarten classroom, helping students with their work and leading small group activities. I’ve also been a nanny for two different families, one family had one toddler and most recently, I have been nannying for three sweet sisters that I cared for twice a week, making lunch, helping with naps, and planning fun activities. I love creating a safe, happy space where kids feel heard, cared for, and excited to learn and play. I also like to help out where I can, whether that’s cleaning up after activities, doing dishes, or tidying up before parents get home. Whether we’re crafting, reading, or playing outside, I always aim to make our time together fun, positive, and meaningful!

I worked in daycare for three years with infants and toddlers. With infants I was the lead teacher over 4, and 8 with a co-teacher. So I'm familiar with the needs of infants. I did the curriculum for the three year olds for a year or so. I've done a lot of babysitting too. I have a degree in psychology, which included a couple child development courses.
