At the present time, I am interested in making child care my career. I have been a caregiver for 25 years, including raising three children of my own. As a babysitter/nanny, I have cared for infants as young as 6 weeks up to children of 13 years of age. I am comfortable with all age groups but find toddlers and preschool aged children to be my favorite age group. My philosophy is too much television creates a lazy child. Children who sit in front of a television are missing out on physical activities, and opportunities to make friends and expand on their social skills.
