Nothing feels more rewarding than a physical final product you can share with those you love. I just returned to the US after a year abroad in France. I was an au pair for a family of 5 children, ages 8, 7, 5, 3, and 1. As an au pair, I was a part of the family, as I'd love to become with you! My responsibilities included driving the children to and from school and extracurricular activities when needed, light housework and meal prep, homework help, and general fun with the kids! I was also there to speak English with the children to improve their fluency. I have also worked in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) for two different companies in Boone, NC and Cary, NC. I worked one-on-one with children with autism, ranging from 3 years to 12 years. The children all had different strengths and needs, and I would follow a program set up by the child's BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) to work on their strengths and needs. Other childcare related positions I have worked include after-school care at an elementary school, multiple internships in elementary school classrooms, and different babysitting, tutoring, and nannying positions over the years. For twelve years, I was a Girl Scout, which instilled a great love for the outdoors. In the last 5 years as a girl scout, I helped plan and run a weekend overnight camp for younger scouts.
