I currently work with special needs children ranging from 2-12 providing ABA services. I have been an RBT for the past 7 years working on developing skills with each client while providing behavior management. I graduated from ODU in 2020 with my Bachelors in Psychology and have considered going back to school to further my education in ABA. While working in the field of behavior therapy, it has given me experience with children diagnosed with autism as well as ADHD and OCD. I previously worked at a preschool where I was an afternoon school age teacher and a PK3 teacher during the day. As a teenager I always found myself picking up babysitting jobs here and there as well as being a dance teacher's assistant working with 3-8-year-olds. I have always worked with children and continue to have a passion for helping them grow and learn through experiences and guidance. I've been a stay-at-home mom for about 30 years. In that time, I've raised my four children and two step-children, as well as two of my grandchildren. When my kids were younger, I provided childcare in my own home. I cared for most of these children for several years, including triplets for over two years from ages 4-6, two infants from a few weeks old to preschool age, and other infants and toddlers for shorter time periods. I also worked for a few years with elementary age students as a part-time cafeteria hostess in my child's school. My schedule is flexible and I am willing to provide some transportation. I love kids and I am young enough to still have fun with them! If you are looking for a strict, by-the-book nanny then I'm not the one for you. However, If you're looking for someone to genuinely care for your kids, then I can be what you're looking for.
