I grew up in Charlottesville and graduated from the local high school in 2022, right before I jumped headfirst into the world of child care as a nanny. I am a former teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education. I taught school for 13 years. I left public education because there was an intense focus on standardized testing that minimalized individualism. This test focused environment was not a good fit for me. I feel that children should learn in an environment that fosters creativity and personal growth. After I quit teaching in public schools, I worked in daycare for 10 years. I left daycare for a few years and tried other work, but it wasn't a good fit. I want to return to my first love - working with children. I am excited and eager to care for children of any age as a babysitter while making sure they have a great time, are safe, and learn something along the way.
