I’m an enthusiastic female in my mid 20’s with 10+ years of experience working with children (and very pet friendly), living in the Greenwood area! A little bit of my experience: - I currently nanny part time, 4 to 5 afternoons a week, for a loving family of four children (3 boys, 1 girl)! Twin boys the ages of 7, one 8 year old boy and an 11 year old girl. [... prior experience...] - Summer of 2007, I was a full time nanny for 2 girls, ages 11 and 13. - All 4 years of high school, I was a part time nanny for a family with 4 children - 3 girls and 1 boy - a 3 month old, twins at 6 y/o and an 8 year old. - After moving back to Seattle, my brother, sister, dad and I moved into my aunt and uncles house for 3 years. My aunt and uncle have 4 kids and my other uncle’s 5 kids were living there as well. Making it a grand total of 12 cousins and 3 adults under 1 roof. The youngest cousin was 8 months old and the oldest was me, 16 years old at the time. - My experience with children began when I was 10 years old, caring for my newborn brother and 6 year old sister. My mother was absent, so I had to step in and fill that role. My brother was colicky as a baby and at an early age was diagnosed with bipolar and ADD. It’s been a never ending job, but I've enjoyed every second of it. A little bit about me: I love to be creative and active with children, and have a variety of skills I can teach. I like to engage children with reading books, arts/crafts, playing games, singing songs, going to parks, the zoo, museums and playing outside. During down time, I really enjoy cooking, cleaning and tidying up around the house (dish’s, laundry, grocery shopping, etc.). I never let situations get out-of-control & I take a lot of pride in my experience. I balance my take-charge attitude with a dash of humor, handling even difficult situations smoothly. I've been a gymnastics coach, nanny, babysitter, mother's helper, kindergarten assistant teacher, daycare assistant teacher, and now a mother of a 3.5 year old boy 💙. My family and I have been living up north but are buying a house in Chehalis at the end of August and planning to move in October. I'm looking for a family or families with children around the same age (ish) as my son that would be comfortable with childcare at my home. We have chickens, bees, a dog, and cat, but with our new homestead we plan on adding more animals including sheep! My son loves being outdoors so most likely we would be outside, playing in the dirt, petting animals, gardening, and I also follow a secular homeschool curriculum so we will also have activities planned like baking and painting.
