Hi! I'm Cyndie. I'm a mother of 3 boys; they are older now so I have flexibility in work and in play! I have twins that were 9 1/2 weeks premature and a 3 year old at the time soI I definitely know how to juggle children and family responsibilities I enjoy watching kids' sports. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! In the past, I worked 7 years at the Kent School District, both in the office and as an Instructional Assistant. I worked some with autistic children and children with learning disabilities. I’ve been around newborns consistently throughout my life making me comfortable and confident with newborns, infants, toddlers and older kiddos. I’m very patient and love to have fun with the kiddos like hand painting, taking them to the park or even baking if that’s something the children would like to do. I’m experienced in sleep training and introducing solids to infants and am very patient when it comes to fussy newborns. The last three summers I’ve been a camp counselor in Arizona and loved it! My favorite days at camp were swim days, I used to be a swimmer and the pool was fun for the kids. From this experience, I learned a lot more from my campers than I expected to. For instance, on a trampoline field trip, a bunch of my campers taught me to front flip (I didn’t have much say in the matter but I’m still glad they encouraged me) I am first aid/CPR certified as well and have experience with children who have disabilities. I have a sister with a disability (CDLS) and grew up helping take care of her. In Arizona I received article 9 training and have a finger print card. I currently go to college in California and am working towards being a nurse practitioner.
