Hi! I'm Cyndie. I'm a mother of 3 boys; they are older now so I have flexibility in work and in play! I have twins that were 9 1/2 weeks premature and a 3 year old at the time soI I definitely know how to juggle children and family responsibilities I enjoy watching kids' sports. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! In the past, I worked 7 years at the Kent School District, both in the office and as an Instructional Assistant. I worked some with autistic children and children with learning disabilities. To work at the school district, I had an extensive background check and also I had to be fingerprinted. To my background is squeaky clean! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Enjoy your day!

Cyndie took care of our 17 month old last week. He is usually very uncertain about new people, but warmed up to Cyndie right away. You could tell she has a lot of experience with children. She would read and play with him and made sure to get him outside each day. Cyndie and our child became good buddies throughout the week. She made him lunches and was also great around our dogs (while she wasn’t taking care of our dogs, they loved seeing her as well). You can tell she has a kind heart. We also appreciated her open communication style. It made it easy for us to discuss expectations.

Hello! My name is Marisa, and I am looking for a wonderful family to support as a part-time nanny or babysitter. I have a lifelong passion for working with children and a wealth of experience to draw from. I studied early childhood education in college and worked as a Pre-K teacher before stepping away to raise my four children, who are now grown, with my youngest set to graduate high school in June. Throughout my years as a stay-at-home mom, my life has revolved around children—volunteering in my children’s classrooms, teaching young children at church, mentoring teenagers at church, and babysitting for friends. I love watching children grow in confidence, independence, and creativity. My approach is rooted in play-based learning, which, I believe, inspires curiosity and critical thinking. I enjoy guiding children through open-ended projects that encourage discovery and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way. I believe in firm, but gentle parenting: setting boundaries, calmly redirecting unwanted behaviors, positive reinforcement, natural consequences, encouraging empathy, and above all, showing lots of love. I strive to help each child I interact with feel safe, valued, and important. I am dedicated to nurturing and advocating for children, and I consider it a privilege to support their development. Thank you for considering me as part of your family’s caregiving team—I look forward to meeting you!

I am a mother to 3 children ages 12, 15 and 17. My oldest son has Autism Spectrum Disorder with a language impairment. I have worked with children since I was a teenager. I loved staying at home with my children when they were little. I am currently a first year middle school teacher in Florida but am moving back home to Washington state mid-March. I have nannied on the side in my 20s and started again last year. I would like to nanny full-time.

I can’t say enough good things about Sara’s care my daughter received. From day one, Sara treated my daughter like her own. She was warm, attentive, and genuine in her care. She consistently honored my role as the mom, always checking in and respecting my wishes. If new opportunities came up, she communicated first making no assumptions, always with thought and consideration. Beyond that, she went above and beyond in creating meaningful experiences for my daughter. From regular trips to the library and children’s museums to book-themed activities, the state fair, cultural outings, the botanical gardens, and the zoo. Every moment was thoughtfully planned and enriching. She even introduced my daughter to different cultures through food, giving her opportunities to try new cuisines in a fun and age appropriate way, and after checking with me to gain my approval. It is rare to find someone who provides such intentional, respectful, and enriching care. I’m incredibly grateful because she made a lasting impact on my daughter’s growth and development.

Yue is a warm, friendly, and reliable babysitter. She helped us take care of my 1-year-old son. She was actively engaged with our son, and not just watched him play by himself. And also keep our house tidy at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Fanny to my friends.
