Hello families! My name is Donaisha, but I go by Dee. I am originally born and raised in California, and have been a resident here in Washington for about 5 years now. I am a mother to a beautiful, sweet, smart, funny, outgoing and friendly 6 year old daughter (Kenya). I call her my assistant as she sometimes has to accompany me to jobs I pick up here. She is the reason I began my nanny journey back in 2017. During the past 6 years I have done pretty much every setting when it comes to childcare! Such as, day cares, baby sitting, date nights, overnight care, Montessori teacher, private home educator, learning pods, camp counselor, and tutoring. It’s truly a passion of mine to not only be apart of experiencing these kiddos growth, but also being able to help take the load off of parents who may be juggling a lot. I am Montessori certified, CPR and first aid certified, and up to date with all vaccines. Hi! I'm Cyndie. I'm a mother of 3 boys; they are older now so I have flexibility in work and in play! I have twins that were 9 1/2 weeks premature and a 3 year old at the time soI I definitely know how to juggle children and family responsibilities I enjoy watching kids' sports. My boys played soccer since they were 3 years old, t-ball, baseball, basketball, track & field and football. I was a really active parent. I was Vice President of the PTA, VP of Membership, Chairperson of Family Fun nights and an Art Docent for their classrooms for two years. I also participated in booster clubs to raise money for the sports. I enjoy walking, bike riding, easy/moderate hiking (nothing too crazy!). I belong to the YMCA where I take Zumba, cycling, a weight class, yoga, pilates and cardio/weights. I just recently bought a guitar and I plan on taking lessons. I am very close to my 3 sons so I enjoy doing various things with them. In addition, I have a 13 year old dog, who thinks he's a puppy! In the past, I worked 7 years at the Kent School District, both in the office and as an Instructional Assistant. I worked some with autistic children and children with learning disabilities. I wanted to become a babysitter because I enjoy working with children’s and I find it rewarding to be able to provide care and being present in there life and support for families who need help. I identify as queer, am a playful spirit who is glad to be here on this planet, and am grateful for my path which has afforded me the privilege of working with children and adolescents in many forms. Working with our youth has always been my path. I am currently living near Seattle, Washington. I’m originally from the Midwest but have been living in the PNW for the past 12 years, with 8 of those years spent in the magical San Juan Islands. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Middle Childhood Education in 2013 and am currently a licensed educator in the state of Washington. I substitute taught in both Seattle and Portland Public School Districts during the years when I wasn’t living in the San Juans. Additionally, I was an assistant teacher at a holistic school located on Orcas Island called Salmonberry School for a few years. This being said, my work with children and adolescents extends far beyond the classroom. I have found myself in many, many households as both a babysitter and nanny over the years. It has been a joy and an honor to be part of so many families’ lives. The bulk of that work was during my time in undergrad, though I spent a year nannying on the San Juans in more recent years. I feel privileged to have been formed by a camp in Northern Wisconsin. I was a camper there for 8 years before I became a counselor. I worked there every summer as a counselor until I was in my early 20s and then became the program director at this same camp for 2 years. Camp taught me a lot about working in collaboration and community and the importance of play. I love the outdoors and believe children should be amongst the trees, building fairy houses and imaginative worlds. My name is Heidi. I grew up in the Renton Highlands and live here once again with my husband, 3 sons, 2 dogs and 3 cats. We live right across the street from my elderly mother who we help every day. I was an administrative assisant with a large corporation downtown Seattle for 26 years until I was laid off in 2016. Since then I been spending lots of time with my family. My boys are now older. In fact, my youngest is leaving for college in August. I really enjoy children and since mine are grown, I would love to spend some time helping another family with their little ones and if I make money doing that - it's a bonus! Hello families! My name is Daikwan (however, I do go by Ryan). I am currently employed through Bellevue School District working as an educator for 3rd and 4th grade students. My prior experience working with children include working as a TA in a middle and elementary school setting, summer camp/after-school educator, and 2 years of prior nanny/babysitter experience as well. I have been in the Seattle area for about 1 year and 3 months currently and I have loved every second of the being in the PNW.
