I am currently working as a dental assistant. I have lots of previous experience with babysitting and professional childcare (gymnastics coach). I also love animals and don’t mind caring for those too. I love to be active whether it’s snowboarding in the winter, or hikes and beach volleyball in the summer. I have previous job experience with cleaning as well. I like to bake and make creative projects with the kids.

Hi, my name is Mary and I am a mother of four grown children. I love working with children and helping them become the best they can be. I am a former triathlete and now have decided to slow things down a bit and help others. I started babysitting when I was just 12 years old and included housekeeping after the kids would go to bed to make life easier on parents. I firmly believe that there is more to babysitting than just sitting around as when the parents are gone children need guidence and care and to stay on schedule. I firmly believe that outdoor activities are important as a base for kids to expend energy and to have a healthy outlook away from the television and computer games. I know I can be an asset in helping you with your children and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you, Mary Higgins

Hi my name is Maggie Smith. I am currently finishing my degree online. I am a dedicated and energetic caregiver with experience working with children ages 3 to 13. I take pride in creating a positive and engaging environment where children can thrive, learn, and have fun. My approach is active and hands-on, ensuring that children remain engaged in age-appropriate activities while promoting their physical, social, and emotional development. I am committed to respecting and following the parental guidelines and boundaries set in each home. I understand the importance of consistency and communication in building trust and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for children. In addition to caring for the children, I am happy to assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, cleaning, and organizing, ensuring that the home runs smoothly while you focus on other responsibilities. I believe that every day presents a new opportunity to encourage children to explore, learn, and grow, and I am passionate about supporting them in this journey. My goal is to be a reliable, responsible, and caring presence in your family’s life, while making sure your children are happy, safe, and well taken care of!

Hi there! I'm a mom of three, a nanny to three amazing kids, and a youth leader for an incredible group of teens. My childcare journey started early-my parents became licensed foster parents when I was 14, giving me years of experience with kids of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. I'm a fun and relaxed nanny who believes in play, imagination, and letting kids be kids. Faces might be a little messy from outdoor adventures (especially in the warmer months-cold is not my thing!), but hearts will be full. I'm firm when needed, always gentle, and endlessly patient. I currently work part-time and am looking for extra hours, especially evenings, weekends, or other odd shifts. I'd love to connect and see if we're a good fit!

My name is Hailey and I‘m 30 years old. I relocated to Spokane from Tri-Cities to be closer to family about 6 years ago now. I have 10 years of experience working in childcare through previous nanny jobs, working in the infant room at KinderCare, as well as working as an assistant teacher at Children's Garden Montessori school. I have cared for children of all ages ranging from infant to pre teen through my previous jobs. I currently work night shifts a few nights a week at Sunshine Health Facilities. In 2017 received my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education through Columbia Community College. I have stayed up to date on my CPR and first aid certification when I received my nurse aid certification last year. I have 3 great references I can send you. I hope you will consider me when you are looking for care for your family!

As a mother I understand the concern and anxiety that can come with finding someone your family trusts as caretaker of your child. With over 25 years caring for kids, I bring a unique blend of confidence and ability that can only come from experience. The oldest of three, I was able to recognize my passion for kids at a very young age. I regularly cared for my younger siblings including one with learning disabilities. These experiences early in life taught me the value of patience, compassion and understanding when dealing with children. I also have experience working for both the Central Valley and West Valley School Districts in paid substitute positions, which provided me with an opportunity to work with multiple kids from diverse backgrounds. I am currently a stay-at-home mom with my 12–year-old-daughter, who is wonderful with other kids, and am seeking an opportunity to be an integral part of your child's care. I enjoy interacting with children and consider myself an involved and active caretaker who can be guilty of enjoying playing at the park just as much as the kids! Ideally, I am seeking a part time role, Monday through Friday for one or two children. Although I ensure we always have fun, I take this opportunity seriously and I will make sure your children are safe while in my care. Thank you for taking time to review my profile and I look forward to answering any questions you may have!

Rachel H.

My name is Rachel and I am 27 years old. I am the oldest of four siblings and Igrew up being their built in babysitter which is where my childcare experience started. I’ve always enjoyed working with children as it’s such a fulfilling job to watch them grow and see how you took part in their development. At age 16 and 17 I held a job as a referee for children’s sports during two summers from a range of ages (3 - 14 years). I also volunteered at my church’s ‘Vacation Bible School’ during the summer. I moved away from working with kids for a long while after that, aside from babysitting children of family members’ here and there. I mainly held jobs in customer service until August 2023 when I began working at Lilac City Early Learning Center in Spokane. During this time I underwent a background check + fingerprinting, renewed my cpr + first aid certification, took a 30hr STARS training course, received a blood borne pathogens certification, went through several conscious discipline modules and obtained a ton of hands on experience with ages ranging from infants to five year olds. We practiced conscious discipline at the center and I found it to be very aligned with my view of kids and how I want to parent my own daughter. I believe kids need help working through their emotions and to find constructive ways to do that. Working at the center gave me a lot of ideas for redirecting children towards better choices when experiencing big emotions. I went on maternity leave mid December and returned to the center in May 2023. My partner and I relocated to Shoreline at the beginning of June, thus I quit working at the center and began working for families as their nanny/occasional babysitter. Since June I have worked for two families full time and several families doing more occasional/backup care. Now my daughter is 11mo. I am very familiar with watching multiple children at one time since the classrooms at Lilac City would have anywhere between 4-10 children per teacher depending on the age group. I am looking forward to connecting with you and your children.
