Maya P., Nanny in Seattle, WA 98115 with 5 years of paid experience

Hello! My name is Maya and I currently live in Bellevue. I’m originally from Honolulu, Hawaii but I moved to Washington in 2020 for school, and I graduated from UW in 2024 with my B.S in speech and hearing sciences! I worked at an early childcare center with infants-pre-k children from 2021-2024 and have babysat since 2021. I am currently CPR/First-Aid certified. I currently work as a speech therapist in a pediatric therapy clinic where I provide services to children between the ages of 3-12! I have the amazing opportunity to work very closely and co-treat with occupational therapists and mental health therapists so I have been able to learn some strategies from therm. I previously worked providing speech therapy for a school district where I got to collaborate with resource, life skills, and SEL teachers so I am very familiar with various SpEd departments!

We had a wonderful experience with Maya. She was kind, patient, and immediately connected with our 6‑year‑old. She kept him engaged with games, dinner, and a smooth bedtime routine. We came home to a happy kiddo and a calm house. We would absolutely hire her again!

Jessie M., Nanny in Seattle, WA 98115 with 20 years of paid experience

For over 20 years, I've worked as a nanny, household manager, part-time sitter, Montessori and social-emotional preschool teacher, and arts enrichment facilitator for kids of all ages. I taught infant/toddler music and movement classes for two years, and I've been a youth mentor and youth volunteer manager. I love meeting new families and supporting their unique needs. Whether I'm spending quiet time at home with the kiddos, going for walks, picking up kids from school and delivering them to activities, helping with homework, running errands, facilitating playdates, or lending a hand with household chores—I'm here for it! I spent 10 years as a communications specialist for community-based nonprofits and I previously worked in tech. I'm also a singer/songwriter and performer. My skills and experience are well-rounded, and my personality and work style reflect that. I enjoy the flexibility of being a sitter at this stage in my life and feel grateful to do work that allows time for other activities. When I'm not caregiving, I'm paddle boarding, beach-combing, spending time with family, my husband, and rescue dogs in our Beacon Hill home of 20 years. I can also be found volunteering in my community (and at the NW Chimpanzee Sanctuary!). I have extensive experience with infant (including newborns), toddler, and school-aged kids; I've cared for multiple sets of twins; and I've worked with children on the spectrum and kids with developmental delays and other special needs. I've supported families through many difficult circumstances from divorce to serious illness. I'm deeply empathetic, proactive and agile as an extended member of a family support team, and I try to find a way to have fun no matter what I'm doing. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your family! Warmly, Jessie PS: I have a reliable car and clean driving record, and I'm happy to provide professional references from families I've worked for in the Seattle area upon request. My rate is flexible and depends entirely on the particulars of the job.

Trust you and your kids will have the absolute best time with Jessie McKenna! Jessie was our first nanny and took care of my infant for over a year until he started nursery school, and then we hired Jessie to take care of the now toddler and second baby, which she took to immediately. She planned fun activities for the kids, made sure they ate and napped responsibly, and I always came home knowing my kids were happy and content (and not as excited to see me, which, let's be honest, is every mom's dream when you have someone caring for your kids that prefer them over you!) Jessie has been a part of our family for over a decade, and my now grown up kids adore her still and talk fondly about their time with her. I have recommended Jessie to my friends who have younger children and their experience has been just as good as mine was. If I could give Jessie 10 stars, I absolutely would. There are lots of care givers out there, but only one Jessie and I feel blessed every day that we got her for the most transformative years of our kids lives. Claire Newman

Abigail has been coming to help out at our house with our 6 month and 5 year old. She is very patient and kind with the baby and happy to learn whatever I share about managing my little one. There was a weekend when my little one was younger and fussy. Abigail took her on extended walks to keep her engaged and soothed. She has also won over my 5 year old who loves spending evenings playing with Abigail.

We moved from Austin, Texas, to Bellevue, WA, on June 14, 2023. We love it here. About my background: I home-schooled my children leading to their acceptance into Rhode Island School of Design (full scholarship,) Columbia University and Princeton University. Subsequently, I obtained my bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees in political science, the latter degree at the age of 55. Starting in 2017, I made 17 trips around the country to serve as a sitter educator for my granddaughter. After that I was a nanny educator in Austin, Texas, for her brother. Occasionally I managed care and education for both brother and sister, together. We moved to Bellevue Washington in June of 2023 to continue part-time care for the two grandchildren. Since then, I am working also for other families as a nanny educator and enjoy all age groups. My work includes educating children of all abilities as well as taking care of basics, such as hygiene, meal preparation and story-telling. Through all of my childcare services, I encourage children to develop self-motivation. Please contact me to check my availability.

Rebekah is a kind, reliable and intelligent teacher. We have known her for over a year and she has become an integral part of our family. Her greatest strengths are her patience and dedication towards her students as well as the kindness and respect she has towards her students' special needs and individuality. She communicates well with the parents and keeps us updated at all times. She constantly seeks ways to keep her student engaged and happy. All of the above attributes also makes her an excellent choice if you are seeking a caregiver, teacher or babysitter. I would highly recommend Rebekah in this regard.

I hired Julie to take care of my two boys (11 months and 5 years old) for a date night out and my boys loved being with her. She was very playful and attentive with them. She administered good communication skills and followed all the directions that we had for her.

Simone T., Nanny in Seattle, WA 98115 with 11 years of paid experience

Hi there! I have extensive experience working with babies and children with a wide range of needs, personalities, schedules, and specialities that I am always happy to accommodate. One of the things I enjoy most about working with children, is learning about their specific interests and natural inclinations/gifts. Being able to support their growth and development with these special interests in a way that is fun and engaging. I have my own car (Honda CRV), have very open availability, and am more than happy to help around the house. Maintaining a clean space is something that was instilled in me from a young age, so house work is no issue. I am also an avid cook that enjoys the process of creating meals for others. Side note: I have experience in catering and meal prepping for others and am also interested in potential cooking for and meal prepping for families. I graduated with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from CWU (2020) with minors in German and Spanish. Homework help for children in school (or doing independent study) is something I have the patience and aptitude for. I look forward to hearing from, and getting to know your family!

Simone is an absolute gem. She took care of our 8 and 10 year olds for a month (boy and girl, respectively), when we were between long term nannies. She communicated effectively with us, both in terms of frequency and content, she was pro-active, and she got along marvelously with both kids. 100% would hire again! Thank you Simone, for everything!

Hi! My name is Kestrel and I'm 31 years old, born and raised in Seattle! I love spending time with little humans and supporting families. When you choose to hire me as your nanny, you're entrusting me not only with your child's safety and wellbeing, but with their childhood; their sense of wonder, their sense of security, their future memories. I strive to build genuine trust and connection and follow their lead whenever possible. I love reading aloud, coloring, making art, listening to music, and playing outside! My educational background is in psychology and communications, and I've taken several courses on child development. I've had several wonderful experiences caring for neurodivergent kids, including nonverbal kids and kids with high support needs. Outside of nannying, I work part-time as a freelance editor and continue to study editing through the University of Washington. I'm bilingual (English and Brazilian Portuguese), an animal lover, a dog mom, and a proud auntie to two amazing kids! On my days off, you can find me treasure hunting at thrift stores and flea markets, out to brunch with my family, or enjoying nature.
