I have a BS degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and Health. Infants are my specialty, however, I have worked with all ages of children from birth-14 years of age. I was a nanny for a family of 5 children, including a set of twins. My last job was a nanny for a family of two girls for six years. My current job is a nanny for a boy that was 2 days old and he is now 6. But I’m moving and looking for another nanny position. I am a nanny that likes to play with children and do fun activities with them. I am not a nanny who will just sit your child in front of a T. V. when I take care of children my sole focus is on them. I want to engage them in activities that will help their developmental growth. From reading books, playing dress up and building blocks to walks outside, practicing ABC's, and playing hide and seek. Hello, my name is Ashley and I have not been helping to take care of, but raise my two younger siblings since the age of 9. They are both now 9 and 7, and I am 18. I am very confident in taking care of children from the age of newborn to school age. Although I do not have certain certificates, I do know how to perform CPR, first aid, and the Heimlich maneuver for children over one and adults. I am very comfortable with temperamental toddlers, cooking and preparing meals, cleaning up and tidying, and engaging and teaching children. I have always found children to have such beautiful and interesting minds and have always enjoyed getting to know and care for them. Even though I'm someone of a smaller stature, I hope you can choose me to care for your children. I know how uneasy it can be to leave your most precious gifts with someone you don't know, especially if you've had bad experiences in the past, but I assure you, I will do my very best to keep them from harms way and provide for them a safe and happy environment.

I have always had a really big passion for children, I love caring for and teaching them more than anything else I have done. While I did do some babysitting here and there while I was growing up, however I do have experience working with children in a professional setting. I have been working at CDCSA since the beginning of February, but unfortunately due to statewide budget cuts my employment is being cut short. I am CPR and first aid certified, and I have numerous trainings under my belt for the care of children.
