My favorite part of teaching children is watching as they develop, for example, learning the months of the year or days of the week and being able to recite them themselves. Hello! I have been in childcare since I graduated from high school in 2013. While in school for a Bachelors in History from UW Whitewater, I served as a nanny for three different families. After moving back home to attend Cardinal Stritch for an MA in Teaching, I took a position at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County. From 2019 to fall of this past year, I was promoted three times, and ended my employment as a unit director there due to moving to Milwaukee. While there and in school, I became an expert in child development, activity planning, and implementation. I am also CPR and first aid certified. Since leaving the Clubs, I spent a year and a half in the daycare field. As a result of this, I have all my early education licensure. I have been back in private childcare for three years now because I love the personal aspect to it, and it aligns more with my life at the moment.
