I absolutely LOVE working with children!!! I used to work at a daycare full-time, and I worked for a wonderful family last year for almost 6 months watching there 2 boys 3 days a week minimum until they moved to a different city. Otherwise, I would still be working for them, because the family really liked me and still does, and the boys both loved me, especially the 3 year old, seeing as he still talks about me almost a year later. I have a letter of recommendation, in which, the wife wrote for me. I have experience working with infants, as well as potty training. The mom of the two boys would speak well of me potty training her oldest son, seeing as the other boy was almost a year old when my time with them ended. Therefore, he was still in diapers when I left, but she would love it if I were able to be there to potty train him too, when he is old enough. I would love to be a part of your family, if it's a good fit for all of us, because I want your family to have the proper caretaker working with your child/children that best fits their needs, seeing as that is what I would be there for. I also enjoy cooking and cleaning, and cleaning up before I leave is a non-negotiable, because I like my work area to be clean, as well as neat and tidy, especially when the job is complete for the day. I want you to come home to a clean environment as well.

Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. Working with youth has been a primary role in my previous work and volunteer experiences through which I have gained a passion for working with young people, helping them grow and learn to understand the world around them in a mindful manner. I began my journey babysitting in high school, as many teenagers do. While attending UW-Madison, I tutored middle schoolers and worked as a history tour guide for elementary school children at the Wisconsin Historical Museum. After receiving my degree, I knew I wanted to continue with an education path. I dedicated a year of volunteer through City Year-Americorps, where I provided academic and behavioral interventions for 3rd and 4th graders. For the last three years I have been working at a highly accredited child development center, with children from infants-school age. I have since gained my early childhood education credentials, attaining a level 12 on the Registry, and becoming CPR, AED, SIDS, and Shaken Baby Syndrome certified along with earning my T910-Short Term Substitute teaching license.
