While in college, I worked as a nanny for a family with two daughters, who were 6 months and 2 years old when I started. I cared for them for a year and have remained in close contact with the family ever since. After graduating, I spent a couple of years working as a legal administrative assistant, and I am now pursuing my law degree. Nannying was a truly meaningful experience for me during undergrad and I’m excited to return to it while in law school. I closely follow the parents’ expectations regarding meals, naps, and activities, and I make it a priority to keep them updated—whether throughout the day, daily, or weekly—based on their preferences. It’s important to me that the children have fun while also engaging in activities that support their developmental growth. I incorporate reading, crafts, and both indoor and outdoor play to help achieve this. I especially enjoy crafting and love finding creative projects that are both fun and educational.

I am looking to babysit part or full time June 23rd-August 18th. I am available Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 530 p.m. I am a special education teacher. Before teaching, I worked in daycare, mainly working with infants-1-year-olds and 3-year-olds. I have 2 children, a 3 and 2-year-old. Both boys. My husband and I will have been married for 5 years soon. I am originally from Green Bay but lived in Stevens Point for a few years and came back to work in the local school district. I adore children and have always enjoyed working with them. I like taking the kids outside, getting them dancing to music, and getting on their level to play. Last fall I obtained my substitute teacher's license and have been teaching my way around Green Bay and becoming acquainted with the district as I determine if I will go into full-time teaching. I aim to guide children responsibility through kindness and careful questions, often prompting them to make decisions on their own, knowing they are supported in the process. Additionally, crafting art projects and coming up with other creative games have been a frequent way to pass time, as well as an opportunity to teach and share my art practice with the little people I care for.

I used to babysit my 3 and 8 year old cousins a few years back.
