Hi! My name is Anjolena, and I have extensive experience caring for children of all ages. I previously worked at La Petite Academy, where I cared for children ranging from 3 months to 12 years old. I also had the opportunity to work with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP), supporting a 7-year-old boy and his 5-year-old sister. Currently, I’m seeking flexible, freelance childcare opportunities that fit around my school schedule. I’m available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and I’m always happy to lend a helping hand to families in need of extra support. If you’re looking for a dependable, caring, and experienced sitter, I’d love to connect!

Hello! Having had the opportunity to be a part of my family‘s journey in raising children, I understand the importance of loving and supportive care. My time spent with my nephew (11) and nieces (5 & 6) throughout the years, has given me hands-on experience in meeting the unique needs of children of varying ages. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology with a specialization in Human Development (primary emphasis in child development). As president of my campus’s Psych Society, (psychology club), I organized and hosted volunteer events for children at local organizations throughout the community, which included the care and supervision of many children of all ages. Currently caring for my son, born May 2024, full time. I am responsible, caring, patient, and dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for your little ones. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

I began babysitting at 15 , Was a stay at home mom, and when my kids went to school I discovered I missed the sound of kids in the house. I’ve been taking care of kids since fall of 2000. Can’t image doing anything else. Have worked from home and in a daycare setting . I’m willing to welcome your child into my home or am able to come to yours. I am comfortable with any age .

Although I never was a registered babysitter, I have babysat and taken care of three or four children at a time within my family. I was a nanny for my sister Leah and her three children when I was 14 for a whole summer in between academic school years, for example. I did work at a daycare - Little Dumplings Early Learning Center- for the summer and I absolutely enjoyed every second. I worked with ages 6 months-3 years primarily and I love that age because I see so much personality development and growth at those ages. It is an extremely rewarding job knowing I help not only the kids with every day activities, but that I also help the parents. I know life can get very hectic and not working isn’t an option. I think that taking care of children is a great gift to people like me who want to work with children when they get older. It is great practice as I always learn many new things, and again as I said before, it is incredibly rewarding watching and helping little children grow into toddlerhood then preschool age and so on. I am CPR and choking certified.

Working with youth has been a primary role in my previous work and volunteer experiences through which I have gained a passion for working with young people, helping them grow and learn to understand the world around them in a mindful manner. I began my journey babysitting in high school, as many teenagers do. While attending UW-Madison, I tutored middle schoolers and worked as a history tour guide for elementary school children at the Wisconsin Historical Museum. After receiving my degree, I knew I wanted to continue with an education path. I dedicated a year of volunteer through City Year-Americorps, where I provided academic and behavioral interventions for 3rd and 4th graders. For the last three years I have been working at a highly accredited child development center, with children from infants-school age. I have since gained my early childhood education credentials, attaining a level 12 on the Registry, and becoming CPR, AED, SIDS, and Shaken Baby Syndrome certified along with earning my T910-Short Term Substitute teaching license. What sets me apart is my wide variety of experience in working with youth, it has always been a passion of mine and I've been so fortunate to have all of these great opportunities.
