Here are a few tips to ensure that you write a job post that stands out from the others and gets the right attention:

1. Drive Interest with a Catchy Title

A strong title can make or break your chances of catching a great sitter’s eye. Titles that are too simple or lack specific information will not fare as well as those that include clear information.

Avoid generic titles such as:

  • Sitter Needed
  • Looking for a Sitter
  • Great Sitter Wanted

Be sure to include specific details like the number of hours needed, which days you’re looking for, full-time vs. part-time, the number of children you have, and/or the age of the children.

Examples of strong titles include:

  • Full-Time Sitter Needed for 2 Young Toddlers (7AM—4PM)
  • Part-Time After-School Caretaker Needed for 10-year-old Daughter
  • Weekend Sitter Needed for 3 Elementary School Children

2. Include Clear Details & Expectations
