I have been around dogs and cats and animals for my entire life, and believe their unconditional love is one of God's greatest gifts to mankind. Animals have a sixth sense about them, and they always seem to know when you are sad or upset and stay closer to you for support! My earliest memory about having pets was when I was about 5 years old and had an awesome German Shepherd named Qinto. I do not have an official certification in this area, and I do have over 45 years of providing love and care for dogs and cats, lizards, hamsters, mice, and birds, and believe this qualifies me as a good candidate for this kind of special care! I currently own 2 dogs and 4 cats, and one purple and yellow leopard Gecko! I said no to a python (! ) and I've become kind of attached to Gecky! My dogs are rescue dogs and the cats all came from Pet Shops or adoption events. Pets make us happy, bring us joy, and we live longer and healthier lives because of their love and loyalty. When my daughterror was 5.we started doing pet therapy for seniors with our dogs and her bird, Polly, who would stay on her shoulder for the whole visit! People were amazed, and Emma would make them laugh even more when she put her arm out to touch someone else's hand and Polly would walk down her arm to their hands and she would say kiss kiss, and Polly did! They really loved that! In terms of training, I have crate trained all my dogs, I've taken some of them to dog obedience school, and I walk my two every daus twice! The reason I'm excited about this opportunity is because I am looking for part-time hours. I am a breast cancer survivor, and during my 2 year Journey of surgeries and recoveries, I was unable to work full time. My puppies and my kitty cats would spend all day next to me (or on me!) while recovering! I have spent more time with animals these past two years and with people, so when I saw the opportunity to take care of somebody else's babies, I thought this would be a really good fit and a really good place to start getting back out into the real world. And what better way than to spend time with loving pets who will touch my heart and bring me much joy and happiness, knowing that I am contributing and helping others at the same time. When I am traveling, I know what it's like to worry about your babies while you are away. wondering if they are okay and getting enough love and care. You will be worry free with me! Thank you!
