I've worn many hats in my 25 years on this planet, gaining all kinds of experience along the way. In the past I have worked for Zip lining companies, sea kayaking companies, and at 3 zoos including the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Currently I am a backpacking/ day hike guide in the Grand Canyon and here in Sedona. Pet/ babysitting will be a part time job for me just to make money in the guiding off season. I am familiar with animals of all sizes and varieties, I worked closely with giraffe, rhino, camel, as well as countless species of small mammals, reptiles and birds. I also am a proud pet parent of two cats, a ferret, and a chameleon. As for children I have worked with kids most of my adult life, when I was fresh out of highschool I worked for the ability center of toledo taking kids with autism, down syndrome, and cystic fibrosis kayaking and paddle boarding at summer camps. I also led snoozes at the toledo zoo which required me and the other guides to watch over 20-60 kids overnight at the zoo, leading them on night hikes and making enrichment to give to the animals. I have a degree in Ecotourism and Adventure Travel as well as the following certifications Leave no trace master educator, wilderness first responder, swift water rescue, vertical ropes and rappelling rescue, NAI certified interpritive guide, adventure leadership mentor, growing up wild, project wild, and aquatic wild. The last three being specifically tailored towards introducing children ages 3-10 into the environment and nature as a whole. With all of my previous work experience and certifications I can entertain kids like no other. I'm happy to watch kids/ pets in their home or take them on an adventure on one of the amazing trails that are in the area!
