I have a Bachelor's degree in Entomology from UC Davis and have been interested in all sorts of animals for all my life. I presently live with 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 4 mantises, and have had and interacted with numerous other pets in the past. I have house-sat and pet-sat for family members around a dozen times since graduating in 2017, including caring for cats, dogs, goats, and chickens. I do this as a comfortable way to get some extra money before I go to graduate school. I love interacting with animals and tend to get along quite well with them; and as an introvert, house-sitting often gives me a quiet place to be alone, to read and relax and play with some critters. I know how to care for and be gentle with all sorts of animals, including mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, and arthropods. If I am to care for an animal, I always make sure to discuss with the owner exactly what its needs, routines, and boundaries are. I can tolerate unruly or dangerous animals.
