I absolutely love pets - especially dogs - both big and small. Back when I was studying at UCLA I took on an extra job to daily walk a woman’s pup who lived a few miles away. I ran daily at the time and would just run to her house in between classes to give her dog a nice long walk and a break from being inside all day.

My boyfriend and I also had a French bulldog for years before she passed away. Plus, before that I had dog during my entire Peace Corps service and she was my best friend. She would also come with me when I went on my runs in the bush and she quickly became a village favorite.

Of course, I love all other pets as well and I’m completely comfortable taking care of cats, birds and most other pets. I grew up on a farm not too far from Yosemite and we had a whole range of pets. Turtles, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, a sheep, and loads of dogs and cats.
