My name is Alex Ibarra and I am a second year Cinematic Arts and Technology Major at CSUMB. I was born and raised in Turlock California. I have been a pet owner and lover all my life—I have owned several dogs through the years, a Chihuahua mix and several boxers. When I left home for college I knew I would get homesick for family, but had no idea I would miss my dog Tyler so much. And when he passed away suddenly it was devastating.
Shortly after this I was offered the opportunity to help an elderly couple walk their German Shepherd every day, and found it very rewarding. Soon word spread and I began dog and house sitting for a man while he worked out of town, as well as others who needed occasional help with their pets. For me it is more than a means to make extra cash, and I think people appreciate the love and respect that I show their animals.
