I am a musician and performer and have supplemented my income with all kinds of different jobs -- Dog walking (or dog-running, rather) has been the most conducive to my free-spirit, love of the outdoors, and love of dogs.

I grew up training and loving dogs because my mother passed on her knowledge to us. She taught us that a happy dog get’s plenty of love and also has a very clear sense of your authority.

My Mom’s expertise came from living in the northwest territories of Canada where the only way to get around in the winter was via dog team. Not having a whole lot of friends around, my mom took to training dogs as her favorite way to pass the time. Her Dad hooked up a little sled to Teddy, my mom’s puppy and, through daily, diligent practice, my Mom trained the pup that would grow up to lead the dog team.

In addition to my solid experience training and caring for dogs, I also know and am prepared for the not-so-glamorous aspects of the job; I am definitely not squeamish type! I have a reliable Subaru Outback and live in North Oakland.
