I have cared for pets my entire life. I was raised in the country where we had cats and dogs, inside and outside, rabbits, chickens, and even a sheep. I share a passion for animals with my father. Each pet I had was my responsibility and I learned to treat animals wth dignity and love. I have a soft heart for animals.
As an adult I have had my own cats which were Himilayan and were my total companions. It was hard to have to see them leave because of my husband's allergies. They went to live with my parents in Idaho.
Then my husband and I adopted 2 different dogs from a local shelter in Vista, California, the second one only after losing the first one tragically. The dogs were my "children" and each dog became my companion on long walks and drives to the beaches close to Vista. The only reason I left my dog was to move to Idaho to care for my disabled mother. There I again helped care for the family menagerie, including my grandmother's little poodle who loves our walks in our Idaho woods.
I am able to leave Idaho now and desire a job in California that gives me the ability to once again be close to the beaches where I find peace. I hope I can again find a chance to be close to animals, and would work hard at ANY job that would let me.
