I'm from Bellingham, Washington, a little city about an hour and a half north of Seattle and 30 minutes south of the Canadian border. Due to growing up in the beautiful PNW, I love spending time outside and living an active lifestyle. I grew up surrounded by animals - having had two dogs, three cats, a rabbit, and a horse throughout my childhood. In addition to being naturally comfortable around animals, I have pet-sat for numerous friends and families in the past. Last year I applied to take in foster dogs, but unfortunately my landlord ended up not allowing it. One crucial part I believe about pet-sitting is that it's more than just feeding them or taking them out - often times they need time spent with them as well and I incorporate that into my pet-sitting duties!
