I grew up on a mini-farm, raising animals from a young age. As an adult, my pets have been my companions and have lived well beyond their expected ages. I am a semi-retired elementary science teacher. I have always enjoyed being outdoors with my dogs, as they usually accompany me on my hiking excursions.

I have been a dog walker for many years, as I have always had large dogs and a small yard. I have also cared for friends’ and neighbors’ pets throughout my life. I worked as a part-time vet tech for a year at a veterinary clinic in south Texas, while I was teaching there in the early 2000’s.

If you are like me, your pet(s) are a part of your family, otherwise you wouldn’t be on this site.
