An overall guide to my Professional experience and training. House/Petsitting since 2014.
Responsibilities and Services (i.e. Overnight stays, Walking pets, feeding pets, administering medications, enrichment activities, daily tidying, checking mail, bringing in packages, changing linens, upkeep in toiletry, Light housekeeping for when client comes home)
Leaving home as clean, if not cleaner then when I arrived.
Ensuring safety of pets and home, Following Pet parents guidelines and training procedures, Approved hikes and socialization with other dogs.
GROOMING: bathing dogs with correct shampoo and conditioner for skin and coat type (usually 3 times with shampoo and once with conditioner)
Ear plucking and anal gland expression
Drying dog's coats with professional blow dryers, tables, brushes, and nail tools.
Detangling, Deshedding and trimming grinch feet, tails and ears (if needed). Cleanliness of work stations and tubs.
LONGMONT HUMANE SOCIETY: Animals in certain sections of the facility, usually upwards of 30 animals at once. Maintained organization on a set schedule throughout the day. Each section required different action. (i.e. cat sections required cleaning litter boxes, replacing bedding, filling food and water, use of charts for special diets, dogs required walking each dog for 10-15 minutes, taking them to the play yard, behavior activities, use of industrial sanitizer to scrub kennels and replace bedding, food, and water. Maintaining safe distance from other animals and people. Going through training and taking 100 question test on how to become a 3LV (Level 3 Behavior staff member ranked just under the Training Team), Required knowledge on strays, administering vaccinations, medications, small mammal diet and care, medical training and close involvement with VTs and Vet. Use of Windows, microchip software, Adoption paperwork, Ability to lift 100lbs, knowledge of contagious illness care and quarantine, etc. (Character count exceeds limit.)
