I've grown up with dogs my whole life, and taking care of them has always felt like second nature to me. While I have not owned a cat, I have previously had roommates that owned cats and am very comfortable with them too. There's something about the way a nervous dog relaxes once it trusts you, or a cat decides to curl up on your lap after ignoring you for an hour, that I never get tired of. For me, this isn't just a job — it's genuinely one of my favorite parts of the week.

I have been pet-sitting off and on for the past 15 years and bring years of hands-on, real-world experience from caring for my own pets through every stage of life — puppyhood, adulthood, and the special care that comes with senior pets. I know how to read an animal's body language, adjust to different personalities and routines, and handle the unexpected (because with pets, something unexpected always comes up eventually!).

While I have not had experience pet-sitting larger/farm animals (not a lot of those in Southern California!), I have worked on a small ranch and am comfortable around larger animals and great at following instructions.
