Pets and children have always been a passion of mine. I currently have a rescue dog that is 14 years old and we both keep in good shape. I adopted her from the shelter one day, she had been there for four months and was going through depression. I just had this gut feeling that no one would be willing to give a dog of this age a forever home, for me there was just no turning my back.
I am very active and taking dogs for walks not only keeps me in good shape but they as well. We all need the fresh air even when it's cold outside!
I am very calm around dogs when we first meet and have learned to allow them to approach you and welcome your interaction with them.
I can intuitively identify if an animal is not feeling well or unhappy. I grew up with many pets and learned a great deal through my years of experience. I worked at a local animal shelter for four years and gained invaluable experience. I treat all animals regardless of disposition with equal love and respect. Just like humans we never truly know their story.
