I am Deaf and am from California. I graduated with BA degree in Psychology at Gallaudet College (now University ) in Washington. D.C. in May 1983. I was the only one in my hearing family that went to college and graduated. I have three hearing children as they are CODA (Child of Deaf Adults). I love cats and am a Cat Whisperer. I have three cats Kilo (5), Pumpkin (5) and Cinnamon (6). They know basic sign language. I tell/sign them to sit before give them treats. I have been babysitting two girls (sisters) since they were 5 and 7 years old and their two yellow labs for a year and a half. Now their mother who is a teacher works at home remotely so she doesn’t need me to take care of them except on call. I am working at Front Range Community College as part time ASL Tutor remotely. I have certificate that I was nominated for the Best Teacher of the semester as I was ASL Teacher for two years (2012-2014) at FRCC.
