I have been around pets my entire life. We had Irish Setters when I was younger and then Old English Sheepdogs and birds. In college I became very interested in fish. As an adult, we have had three dogs and we have also watched two different dogs for at least 10 years (one stayed with us for sometimes up to three weeks and the other dog stayed with us during the week workday). I care for animals as I would when caring for others - they are a part of the family.
