I have three large animals, two Labs and a Newfoundland, so no dog is too big. I walked dogs in my hometown when I was in high school, and I was apart of some of their basic routines. I was involved in administering medication for the older animals and basic walking and feeding for the rest. Cats are no problem, fish, and smaller household pets.
