Hello everyone. While I have no formal training or certifications, I have grown up with animals all of my life. I currently have two 14-year-old dogs and two 10-year-old cats. Both my dogs are on heart medications and one dog is on even more meds for his thyroid and pancreas and I have one cat that tends to have allergic reactions and needs medicines so I do have experience giving pills and liquid medications. A little bit more about me, I'm currently a graduate student going for my Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation at Southern CT State University. I have done pet sitting for two different people in the past for both cats and dogs and I'm currently going to pet sit again this summer for them both. One cat I pet sat for I had to give medication. One dog I had to treat a wound while the owners were on vacation. I can provide references, if needed, of those two people. My own dog I recently had to nurse back to health because he had a bad flare up of pancreatitis. I gave him his medications, syringe fed him every couple of hours, and now he's back to barking, eating dog food, drinking water, and being his old self. I'm not one to give up and am willing to take of your pets as if they were my own. I love animals, but prefer cats and dogs because I have the most experience with them.
