I graduated from Penn State University w/ an elementary education degree. Upon completing my student teaching experience, I saw a much more important need to assist youth outside the classroom especially if I was to be judged/assessed as a teacher (No Child Left Behind) due to unresolved issues outside of the classroom.

After graduating I worked at a wilderness, residential facility for "at-risk" youth ages 10-17 as a youth counselor teacher. In being an employee w/ Eckerd Youth Alternatives (EYA), I progressed to the level of Program Director and was responsible for the overall smooth functioning of the program and the youth counselor teachers training.

I left camp due to budget cuts and safety issues that would ultimately be my responsibility if a counselor or youth was injured coupled with my parents moving to Florida from Pennsylvania.

I had been working as a Student Services Coordinator at a local school and was recently laid off due to a reducation in staff. At this time I am looking to due odd jobs until I find something more permanent.
