My name is Amanda Ross, I am 28 years old and I go to GA State part-time as a post-baccalaureate student working towards Vet School. I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant and have been volunteering in Philadelphia and Atlanta over the years. My passion for the welfare of animals has never wavered, but only grown over the years. I know that a person’s pet, is not just that, but so much more, they are a part of the family and that a high level of care is expected and deserved. As a dog-owner myself, and having to use pet-sitters I know it requires a huge amount of trust and responsibility, so I strive to always care for animals to the highest standard. In saying this, I have been pet-sitting for about 3 years and I am trained in Pet CPR and First Aid.
I offer 100% custom care: regular walks that are as long as you would like, short potty break of 10-15 minutes or full blown energy reducer of an hour, or something in between. I can take them to their favorite dog park, or spend time throwing their favorite ball, or they can come with me to run errands... You dictate how you want your pet’s time to be spent. I know how important it is for a dogs to have regular interaction and exercise as well as how difficult and unnecessary it is for them to hold their bladder for more than a few hours. Some other things I offer are: feeding, changing water, giving medications, transport (Vet, groomer, doggie day-care, etc), as well as brush-outs, baths (dogs only), and nail trims (dogs only).
-If you are interested in speaking more and setting up a meet-and-greet at your home, where I meet you and your furbaby as a "test-run", I think dogs and cats are a great judge of character and this can also allow them to not see me as a stranger if you decide I am a good fit. With all my pet-sitter/dog-walking parents I offer to send regular text or e-mail updates (with photos) to let them know their pet/s are doing great. Leaving a written list of what I did when I was with your pet, including time spent, any concerns, etc. Whatever your preference I am happy to oblige, I know it is a big decision to entrust someone with a member of your family, and I'm happy to supply references!
