Elizabeth’s Bio
Aloha! My passion for family care including petcare is deeply rooted in my personal mission to support the integrative journey of children and families with pets in meaningful, personalized ways. I love being a sitter because it allows me to build long-term, trusting relationships with families and support families as they grow into confident, emotionally healthy individuals with loving companions.
My Approach
Every family is unique, and I take time to understand your specific needs and values. I tailor my caregiving approach to align with your household's routines, parenting style, and each child’s individual personality and developmental stage needs. Whether I’m offering social-emotional support, creating structured routines, or simply helping with daily logistics, I aim to make life easier and more joyful for everyone in the home. I’m a PhD candidate and research scholar in developmental child psychology and human development. Play is an integral piece of human wellness and the thread we weave healthy development for families with companions.
Experience
I’ve worked with families with companions with children of all ages, newborns, to school-aged children and teens- including twins, triplets, etc. I also have extensive experience with:
-Expecting mothers and postpartum care
-Managing care for up to 8 children in a family
-Leading group settings of 20–30 children in classroom or workshop settings
-Providing care in multicultural, multilingual homes
-Traveling internationally with families
-Overnight and sleep care/guidance
Many families I work with stay connected for years, unless they relocate or their children graduate into adulthood. I also offer short-term, seasonal, and transitional care.
Specialized Skills & Training
-Trauma-informed care & trauma recovery
-Neurological and developmental support
-Social-emotional learning
-Household management & family logistics
-Founder of a community nonprofit focused on trauma healing and support on a global scale
I specialize in trauma prevention and recovery services for individuals and families with companions, practicing kindness, empathy, safety, and accountability. My goal is to create a safe, stable, and loving environment where children feel seen, heard, and empowered.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have. I look forward to meeting you and your family and your pets.
Mahalo!
