I have always been a lover of animals, but I never knew they would eventually bring me the joy and passion I have recently felt. I began caring for pets as a hobby on Rover to make some new furry friends and some extra money. I instantly experienced a heartfelt connection to my work.I felt as though a void was filled where that special piece of the happiness puzzle had always been missing. Naturally a compassionate and empathetic person, I've always felt an assumed responsibility for the well being of animals. They possess a certain magic within that has to power to heal pain, the ability to ease loneliness, the capacity to comfort sadness and the capability to show unconditional love.

The realization that I had found my true calling hit me like a ton of bricks and I did not hesitate to turn my hobby into my passion while being fortunate enough to also make it my career. My success seemed to come almost instantly. I decided it was time to explore pet sitting outside of Rover, and I began doing my research. I taught myself all I know about the $70 billion pet industry, and how to make a career out of doing what I love. I learned how to build my own website, as well as how to show up in online searches such as Google, Bing and Yahoo, and how to market myself via social media without having any prior experience. I was able to gain over 35,000 monthly viewers on Pinterest in only a couple of weeks, and I've started my own pet blog. Most recently, I became certified in Pet CPR and first aid. All of these self-taught skills and accomplishments were driven by not only my love for animals, but my desire to surround myself with their companionship while simultaneously providing for my family.
I believe in a nurturing approach to pet care, making them always feel safe and right at home. Snuggling on the couch, puppy kisses, sharing the bed, and playing together are always encouraged. I have experience caring for pups of all sizes, breeds, ages and temperaments realizing that their needs are unique and must be catered to as such. I'm experienced with senior pets, medication administration, and special dietary needs.
