Hi! I was a full-time zookeeper for 4 years, and now work in the non-profit sector helping out with a couple of different animal rescues. I am also current pet parent to two loving rescue dogs. Though my career as a zookeeper revolved around exotic animal care, I have experience with domestics as well, other than just as pets: I have worked as a Kennel Technician at a high volume no-kill animal shelter (basically providing all aspects of dog care- all breeds & all personalities), I worked with the HEART program at another shelter to pull dogs from death row into no-kill partner shelters (again all breeds & personalities), and I also have experience with farm animals, horses, reptiles + amphibians, birds, and small mammals!
